About SMSPS
The organization came into existence around 25 years ago with the motive of empowerment, development and strengthening of women from underprivileged and backward group of the society through vocational trainings, awareness camps, providing them livelihood. The organization is registered under Societies Registration Act 21, 1860 with registration No. 90/1991-92 and its registered office at Kurauli, Barabanki. The organization is an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization. Society execute many programs with own funding and also from different funding agencies.
The ultimate motto of any funding agency is to monitor where the funds which have been given by them to implementing agency has been properly utilized or not and funds can not be properly utilized by any implementing agency unless it has a proper experience of that field.
There is no doubt about the integrity of organization whether it is capable to run he project or not. Society is well equipped to implement different projects without any trouble. In present and past society has conducted/carrying out every activity has been completed in a very successful manner. Society is in touch of several artisans who are in the lane of “CHIKAN, ZARI-ZARDOZI, CHIKAN-ZARI FUSION CRAFT, MOONJ CRAFT, PATCH WORK, etc.” but in absence of proper guidance and knowledge of latest trend and technology they are still in pitiable position and unless they shall be trained from all corners it is not possible to think about the betterment.
All the Workers of the Organisation made residents of Villages Mauthari, Dhakauli, Sursanda, Piprauli, Kurauli, Parethiya, Jaisinghpur, Amauli Kalan, Medhiya, Rasaukli, Mahmadpur, Linepurwa, Banki, etc. self dependent by giving training of Chikan Craft, Aplic work, Moonj Craft, Block Making, Zari Zardozi, Chikan Zari Fusion Craft, Candle making, Bag making, Jute work, Beautician Courses etc and creating awareness in the field of Environment, Handicrafts, Health, Food Processing and Self employment. In addition to these SHGs formed with the help of DRDA, in many villages SHGs are working and improving their livelihood.
Products like Chikan and Zari embroided products like Kurta, Suit, Shirts, Saree, etc. Bags, Soft Toys, Processed Foods, Moonj Products, etc. produced by the artisans trained by the organization are sent to different places in exhibitions for sale and products are also sold through own marketing outlet of the organisation. So that artisans do not have to face the economic crisis.
Keeping in mind the welfare of the artisans organisation has provided almost Artisan ID Cards, Artisan Credit Cards and Rajeev Gandhi Health Insurance Cards to almost 1700 Artisans in the previous 5 years.
Organisation is working in the field of SHG mobilisation for the past almost 11 years. In the previous years the organisation has done the work of Diagnostic Survey and Business plan preparation for more the 1000 beneficiaries of more than 80 Self Help Groups (SHGs) of many villages of District Barabanki and availed them loan and subsidy through banks for the implementation of self employment plans.
The organisation have imparted Design and Technical Development Workshop/ Trainings/ Awareness Activities/ Skill up gradation Programmes/ vocational trainings/ for the development and encouragement of languishing crafts such as Chikan craft, Zari-Zardogi, etc. as a step for the development of handicrafts in the previous years in the Villages Kurauli, Mauthari, Dhakauli, Sirauli Gauspur, etc.
The organisation has been working for the previous many years for the upliftment of SC/ST and Minority by conducting schemes of Central and state governments for their betterment and upliftment sanctioned to the organization.
The organization is working for the leadership development of minority women of the district Barabanki since 2014-15 through the Nai- Roshni Scheme of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. The organization is trying its best to uplift the underprivileged minority women of the Barabanki and other districts also.
